Executive Director

It is our pleasure to present Monica Adams, MA, MBA. She became PCHS' Executive Director as of November 1, 2012. 

Monica comes to us from Bay Clinic, Inc. a nonprofit, eight-site federally qualified community health center based in Hilo, Hawaii where she has served in several leadership roles including Acting CEO.  Currently, Monica is their Director of Development, Compliance and Quality.  Bay Clinic serves the diverse, multi-cultural communities of East and South Hawaii Island with primary medical, dental, behavioral, prevention and social services. Their health center budget is $12 million and serves 16,000 individual people annually. Bay Clinic serves a vast rural area covering 2,000 miles.

Monica received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Francisco State University and her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Cross Cultural Counseling from the University of Hawaii at Hilo.  Recently, Monica completed a Master of Business Administration – Healthcare Administration though the Loma Linda University of Public Health.
